Radiometric Maps
In the course of its research activities, NED-NTUA has collected and analysed an extended library of more than 2500 Greek soil samples. Based on the analysis results of these samples, and using software and techniques developed in-house, a number of radiometric maps have been produced.
The following maps are available through the NED-NTUA web site:
- Radioactive contamination of Greek surface soil following the Chernobyl accident
- Total Cs-137 deposition
- Total Cs-137 deposition at the most heavily contaminated areas
- Total Cs-134 deposition
- Total Sb-125 deposition
- Total Ag-110m deposition
- Total Zr-95 deposition
- Total Ce-141 deposition
- Total Ce-144 deposition
- Total Ru-103 deposition
- Total Ru-106 deposition
- Total Mn-54 deposition
- Differences in the Cs-137 and Cs-134 deposition patterns
- Differences in the Cs-137 and Ag-110m deposition patterns
- Collective Effective Dose Commitment (manSv) due to Cs-137, for 1yr exposure in the most contaminated areas
- Natural Radioactivity of Greek surface soils
- Survey of radiometric quantities in the vicinity of lignite-burning power plants
- Ra-226 concentration of surface soil in the vicinity of Megalopolis
- Ra-226 concentration of surface soil in the vicinity of Ptolemais
- Natural Radioactivity Releases from Lignite Power Plants in Greece (Full Paper)
- Radioenvironmental survey of the Megalopolis lignite field basin (Slide Presentation)
- Radionevironmental survey of the Megalopolis lignite field basin (Full Paper)
- Radioenvironmental survey of the Megalopolis power plant fly-ash deposits (Παρουσίαση)
- Disturbance of Radioactive Equilibrium in the Ashes Produced in Lignite Fired Power Plants (Slide Presentation)
